Welcome to Pathways to Speech, a private practice dedicated to helping children build confidence and communication skills through individualized speech and language therapy. We proudly serve families across the Atlanta metro area with in-home, school, and daycare visits, as well as virtual sessions for added flexibility. For families in Maryland, we offer high-quality virtual services designed to meet your child’s unique needs. Our practice specializes in early-intervention through age 18, supporting every step of your child’s communication journey. We currently accept Aetna insurance and private pay.
Meet Sierra Jefferson, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hello! I’m Sierra Jefferson, M.S., CCC-SLP, licensed and certified speech-language pathologist and founder of Pathways to Speech. I am a proud graduate of the University of the District of Columbia, and for the past five years I’ve had the privilege of serving children and families throughout the Atlanta area. During this time, I’ve supported toddlers and school-age students in discovering their voices, improving clarity, and building confidence in their communication skills.
My Approach
I specialize in play-based, engaging, and family-centered therapy. My goal is to create safe, supportive environments where children feel encouraged to explore, grow, and express themselves. Sessions are designed to be fun, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate — helping children stay motivated and excited to learn. I partner closely with families and caregivers to ensure that what we practice in sessions easily carries over into daily routines. When families feel confident using communication strategies at home, children experience meaningful, lasting growth.
